Resolve issues with Siteimprove
Siteimprove is Stanford's digital accessibility tool used to scan websites and report content issues. Maintaining level A and AA compliance on all SDSS websites is a significant priority. Common accessibility issues include:
- Identical text for links that go to different pages. If the links go to different places, the text should reflect that.
Suggestions for writing accessible link text - Container element is empty. When using the text editor, HTML may get created that you cannot see.
See suggested fixes when container element is empty - Content missing after heading. When you have a heading such as a Heading 2, it is expected that there is content associated with it. If there is no content, it can be confusing and may lead some users might think the content is hidden.
To learn about fixing this issue, go to Use headings appropriately. - Element IDs are not unique. Within the HTML of a span, heading, or other element on your page, you can have an ID attribute. The value for this attribute must be the only instance on the page.
